Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting shape and the material used for constructing have a considerable influence on the resistance and lifespan.

The component shown is made of tool steel in the X-variant, which is our standard version for most application scenarios. The hardness of this counter knife is in the medium range.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the cutting tools. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted external on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

This cutting tool is ideal for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 60mm. With regard to the various range of models, other configuration options can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
