The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a significant impact on the resistance and lifetime of the product.

In the X-variant, this counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard version in most break down applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

Here we offer you a perfect combination of insensitivity to wear and tear and toughness at the same time.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the service life of the counter knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of products of this option, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted external on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

The cutting tool fits knives and cutters with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the wide range of recycling machines, other configuration variants may be available.

When installing the counter knife, please assure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
