This counter knife has been designed for Vecoplan VAZ series by manufacturer Vecoplan.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the lifespan can be influenced by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well customised to the break down application.

In the X-variant, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of components of this option, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The product fits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 60mm. Due to the broad range of shredding models, other configuration variants may be available.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with flat supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
