Knives in this W-option are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variation and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The spare is manufactured out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it ideal for demanding application scenarios. However this variant has a shorter operating time.

In this version, the spare parts are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears evenly over its lifespan.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the items. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
