The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be impacted by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the performance can be well configured to the application area.

The counter knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-version, which is the standard variant in most areas of application.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the service life of the counter knife.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will seriously weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

The counter knife can be used for knives and cutters with a length and width of 80mm. Due to the wide range of shredder models, further configuration variations are possible.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
