The wear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the efficiency can be well configured to the input material.

In the X-variant, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard option in most applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Spare parts of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

We underline that this version should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

This counter knife can be used for knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 80mm. Due to the wide range of models, further configuration variants are possible.

When attaching, please also assure that the support of the knives is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
