Cutting performance and durability:
The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the longevity can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the performance can be well configured to the application.
The W-version has a lower wear resistance compared to the X-variation, but shows a higher toughness. Knives of this option are used when the contact surface is no longer in an optimal status or the input material contains impurities. In the W-variant, this cutting tool is also made from tool steel.
In this variant, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears steadily over its lifetime.
We underline that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
Fastening in the machine:
The counter knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.
The spare part suits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 34mm. Due to the wide range of models, other configuration options may be available.
When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
