Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a considerable impact on the insensitivity and product lifespan.

The counter knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-version, which is the standard variation in most areas of application.

Here you are offered a good compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the counter knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this option, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

This component is suitable for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 60mm. With regard to the various range of models, further configuration options can be realised.

When installing the counter knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
