The wear behaviour and thus also the service life can be influenced by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the performance can be well adjusted to the input material.

In the X-variation, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

This cutting tool is ideal for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 60mm. With regard to the various range of models, further configuration variants can be realised.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
