In the X-variation, this counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the service life of the counter knife.

We emphasise that this version should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

This cutting tool suits knives and cutters with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the broad range of recycling machines, other configuration variants may be available.

When installing the counter knife, please ensure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
