Comparatively, the W9-variation is softer than the X-option. In addition, the W9-variant wears also faster. On the other hand, it has the advantage of increased toughness and is also insensitive to impurities.

Cutting tools of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the components. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

 

Fastening in the machine:

This item suits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 60mm. Due to the wide range of recycling models, other configuration options may be available.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
