The wear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be impacted by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the efficiency can be well adapted to the application.

This X-option counter knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variation in most break down applications. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.

Here we offer you a suitable combination of insensitivity to wear and toughness at the same time.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the counter knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of items of this variant, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

This counter knife can be combined with knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the broad range of shredder models, other configuration variations are possible.

When installing the counter knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
