In the X-option, this counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Items of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of components of this variant, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

This counter knife can be combined with knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the broad range of shredder models, further configuration variants are possible.

When fitting the counter knife, please assure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
