This counter knife has been constructed for Weima WLK series by manufacturer Weima Maschinenbau GmbH.
Cutting performance and durability:
Through the use of particular materials and the variance in the shape, the item can be adjusted to the area of application in terms of throughput and lifespan.
Knives in this W-option are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variant and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The product is manufactured out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it applicable for demanding break down applications. However this variation has a shorter longevity.
Items of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.
However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the cutting tools. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
Fastening in the machine:

The cutting tool is ideal for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 40mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, further configuration variations can be realised.
When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
