Cutting performance and durability:

The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the efficiency can be well customised to the input material.

Knives in this W-version are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variation and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The part is produced out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it ideal for demanding break down applications. However this variant has a shorter lifespan.

Spare parts of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

We highlight that this version should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

This counter knife is sold as a whole set, consisting of 8 parts.

The spare part suits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 80mm. Due to the broad range of models, other configuration variants may be available.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with flat supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
