In comparison, the W9-variation wears more rapidly than the X-variant due to its lower hardness. Also the insensitivity to impurities and the high toughness of the W9-option is a noteworthy feature compared to the X-version.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the lifetime of the counter knife.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the components. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is sold as a whole set, consisting of 6 parts.

This component is applicable for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 80mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, further configuration variations can be realised.

When installing, please also ensure that the support of the knives is in an intact condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
