Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the service life can be influenced by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the efficiency can be well adjusted to the input material.

In the X-variation, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most break down applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the lifetime of the counter knife.

We highlight that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

This counter knife is sold as a whole set, consisting of 6 parts.

This counter knife can be used for knives and cutters with a length and width of 80mm. Due to the wide range of recycling machines, further configuration variations are possible.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
