The counter knife can be used for the crusher, the shredder, the pre-shredder and the post-shredder of the Weima Maschinenbau GmbH brand.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the service life can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the efficiency can be well configured to the break down application.

In the X-variation, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard version in most applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

In this option, the items are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears consistently over its lifespan.

We underline that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

This cutting tool is fitting for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 40mm. With regard to the various range of models, other configuration options can be realised.

When installing the counter knife, please assure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an ideal contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
