This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-version and is therefore less susceptible to fractures. This makes this W-variant suitable for utilizations where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this option has a shorter operating time.

Products of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will seriously weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

This counter knife can be used for knives and cutters with a length and width of 60mm. Due to the wide range of models, further configuration variants are possible.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
