This cutting tool shown is made of tool steel in the X-variation, which is our standard option for most application scenarios. The hardness of this counter knife is in the medium range.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this variant, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife can be combined with knives and cutters with a length and width of 38mm. Due to the broad range of models, further configuration variations are possible.

When installing the counter knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
