In the X-variation, this counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

We emphasise that this version should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife will be sold as a set of 5 parts.

This spare part is applicable for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 60mm. With regard to the various range of models, further configuration variations can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
