The counter knife can be installed in the crusher, the shredder, the pre-shredder and the post-shredder of the Untha company.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the longevity can be impacted by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the performance can be well adapted to the application scenario.

This X-variation counter knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard version in most break down applications. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the service life of the counter knife.

We emphasise that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

When fitting the counter knife, please ensure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
