Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of various materials and the variance in the shape, the component can be adjusted to the area of application in terms of throughput and service life.

The W-variation is manufactured from alloy tool steel. In contrast to the X-variant, it has a shorter operating time due to the 5 % lower hardness. However it is also less fragile in parallel. Knives of the W-variant are ideal for applications where the contact surface is no longer intact or there are impurities in the input.

Components of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will seriously weaken the structure.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife can be used for knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 34mm. Due to the broad range of models, other configuration variants are possible.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with flat supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

 

General characteristics:

The dimensions of the cutting tool are 491mm in length, 60mm in width and 20mm in height.
