The counter knife can be inserted for the crusher, the shredder, the pre-shredder and the post-shredder of the Vecoplan brand.
Cutting performance and durability:
The efficiency of the product depends primarily on the variation of the material and cutting shape.
In the Y-version, this spare part is made of alloyed tool steel. The counter knife in this option is approx. 5% harder than the X-variant, which results in a longer service life. However, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.
Products of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.
Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
Fastening in the machine:
This component is suitable for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 60mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, various configuration variations can be realised.
It is imperative that the counter knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

The counter knife is 414.2mm long, 117mm wide and 28mm high.
