Through the use of different materials and the variance in the cutting shape, the cutting tool can be customised to the area of application in terms of throughput and knife life.

In the X-version, this counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard option in most applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Cutting tools of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

We highlight that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The spare part fits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 110mm. Due to the broad range of recycling models, further configuration variations may be available.

When installing the counter knife, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
