In the X-variation, this counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

We underline that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

The item is sold as a whole set, consisting of 4 parts.

This component suits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the wide range of shredding models, further configuration options may be available.

When installing the counter knife, please assure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
