This counter knife can be installed in the Weima WLK series manufactured by Weima Maschinenbau GmbH.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of various materials and the variance in the cutting geometry, the item can be customised to the area of application in terms of throughput and lifetime.

In the X-variant, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard version in most break down applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The cutting tool is sold as a whole set, consisting of 4 parts.

This spare part is applicable for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 40mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, other configuration options can be realised.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
