The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a significant effect on the resistance and durability.

The spare part shown is made of tool steel in the X-variation, which is our standard version for most application scenarios. The hardness of this counter knife is in the medium range.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the service life of the counter knife.

We emphasise that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

This product is fitting for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 60mm. With regard to the various range of models, other configuration variants can be realised.

When installing the counter knife, please ensure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an ideal contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
