This counter knife is perfectly suitable for crushers, shredders, pre-shredders and post-shredders from Zerma (Amis).

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a significant impact on the resistance and product lifetime.

Knives in this W-variant are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variation and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The component is manufactured out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it ideal for demanding break down applications. However this option has a shorter operating time.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the counter knife.

We underline that this version should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The product fits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 60mm. Due to the wide range of models, further configuration options may be available.

When installing, please also assure that the support of the knives is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
