Based on cold-work steel as the material of the W8-variant, it is characterised by high toughness. In terms of insensitivity to impurities, this makes it perfect for demanding utilizations in most cases. This version is sustainable, as it can usually be re-welded or re-armoured after the product has worn out. Therefore there is no breakage or machine damage afterwards. Nonetheless, the W8-variation wears out faster compared to the Y-, X-, W- and W9-variations.

Items of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The product suits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 117mm. Due to the broad range of shredding machines, other configuration options may be available.

When attaching, please also ensure that the support of the knives is in a flat condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
