The shape and the material used for constructing have a significant influence on the insensitivity and durability.
Based on cold-work steel as the material of the W8-variant, it is characterised by high toughness. In terms of resistance to impurities, this makes it applicable for demanding utilizations in most cases. This version is sustainable, as it can usually be re-welded or re-armoured after the product has worn out. Consequently there is no breakage or machine damage afterwards. Nonetheless, the W8-variation wears out faster compared to the Y-, X-, W- and W9-versions.
In this option, the spare parts are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears evenly over its lifespan.
Fastening in the machine:
This counter knife can be used for knives and cutters with a length and width of 107mm. Due to the wide range of shredder models, further configuration variations are possible.
When attaching, please also assure that the support of the knives is in a flat condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
