Cutting performance and durability:

The shape and the material used for constructing have a significant influence on the insensitivity and longevity.

Based on cold-work steel as the material of the W8-version, it is characterised by high toughness. In terms of resistance to impurities, this makes it suitable for demanding applications in most cases. This option is sustainable, as it can usually be re-welded or re-armoured after the product has worn out. Therefore there is no breakage or machine damage afterwards. However, the W8-variation wears out faster compared to the Y-, X-, W- and W9-variants.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the service life of the counter knife.

Fastening in the machine:

This item suits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 87mm. Due to the broad range of shredding machines, other configuration variations may be available.

When installing the counter knife, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
