Knives in this W-option are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variation and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. This item is produced out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it ideal for demanding application scenarios. However this variant has a shorter tool lifespan.

Products of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be seriously weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife can be combined with knives and cutters with a length and width of 87mm. Due to the broad range of models, further configuration variations are possible.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with flat supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
