Comparatively, the W9-version is softer than the X-variation. Additionally, the W9-variant wears also faster. On the other hand, it has the advantage of increased toughness and is also insensitive to impurities.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the lifetime of the counter knife.
We underline that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
