Comparatively, the W9-variation is softer than the X-option. Furthermore, the W9-version wears also faster. On the other hand, it has the advantage of increased toughness and is also resistant to impurities.
Spare parts of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.
Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
Fastening in the machine:
This counter knife can be used for knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 65mm. Due to the broad range of shredder models, further configuration options are possible.
When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only adapted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
