Cutting performance and durability:

The item can be adapted to the break down application, depending on the particular materials and the variance in cutting geometry.

The W3-option wears faster than the Y-, X-, W- and W9-variants, but has a very high toughness. This version defies many impurities and is therefore suitable for demanding applications. This counter knife of the W8 can usually be welded or armoured on again without any subsequent breakage. The material is a cold work steel.

In this variant, the components are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears homogenously over its lifespan.
