Compatibility with machines:

The counter knife can be installed in the Weima WL and Weima WLK models from Weima Maschinenbau GmbH.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The performance of the item depends primarily on the version of the material and cutting shape.

This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-option and is therefore less susceptible to fractures. This makes this W-variant ideal for utilizations where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this variation has a shorter tool life.

Products of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the cutting tools. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

 

Fastening in the machine:

This counter knife is sold as a whole set, consisting of 3 parts.

This counter knife can be combined with knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the wide range of shredder models, further configuration variations are possible.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

 

General characteristics:

The counter knife is 965mm long, 122.6mm wide and 40.3mm high.
