The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the lifespan can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the efficiency can be well adjusted to the input material.

In the X-option, the counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most break down applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

Here we offer you an applicable combination of resistance to wear and tear and toughness at the same time.

Spare parts of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

We emphasise that this version should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife will be sold as a set of 3 parts.

The spare part is ideal for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 60mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, various configuration variations can be realised.

When fitting the counter knife, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
