This X-version counter knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard option in most application areas. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a good compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the counter knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

This item is sold as a whole set, consisting of 3 parts.

The cutting tool fits knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 60mm. Due to the broad range of shredding machines, other configuration variations may be available.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
