The efficiency of this item depends chiefly on the variant of the material and cutting geometry.

In the Y-option, this product is made of alloyed tool steel. The counter knife in this variation is approx. 5% harder than the X-version, which results in a longer durability. However, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Products of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

We highlight that this version should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife will be sold as a set of 3 parts.

This component is applicable for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 40mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, various configuration variations can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
