Comparatively, the W9-variation wears more quickly than the X-option due to its lower hardness. Also the insensitivity to impurities and the high toughness of the W9-version is a remarkable feature compared to the X-variant.
Products of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.
We emphasise that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
