Comparatively, the W9-version is softer than the X-variation. Furthermore, the W9-option wears also faster. On the other hand, it has the advantage of increased toughness and is also insensitive to impurities.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the service life of the counter knife.
We highlight that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
Fastening in the machine:
This spare part is suitable for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 43mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, further configuration options can be realised.
When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
