In comparison, the W9-option wears more quickly than the X-version due to its lower hardness. Also the insensitivity to impurities and the high toughness of the W9-variant is a remarkable feature compared to the X-variation.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the service life of the counter knife.
It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this variant, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

The measures of the item are 218.2mm in length, 80mm in width and 40mm in height.
