Cutting performance and durability:
Through the use of different materials and varying the cutting geometry, the product can be adjusted to the operational scenario in terms of throughput and lifetime.
By contrast, the W9-variation wears more rapidly than the X-version due to its lower hardness. Also the resistance to impurities and the high toughness of the W9-variant is a notable feature compared to the X-option.
Cutting tools of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.
We underline that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
