For crushers, shredders, pre-shredders and post-shredders by the manufacturer Vecoplan the counter knife is perfectly fitting.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be impacted by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the performance can be well customised to the application area.

The component shown is made of tool steel in the X-option, which is our standard variation for most operational scenarios. The hardness of this counter knife is in the medium range.

Here you are offered a good compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

In this variant, the components are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears consistently over its lifetime.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be seriously weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife will be sold as a set of 2 parts.

This counter knife can be combined with knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the wide range of shredder models, further configuration variants are possible.

When installing the counter knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.

The measurements of the counter knife are 1067mm long, 108mm wide and 35mm high.

As this counter knife belongs to the Premium Line, the item is exclusively made in German production.
