This counter knife can be installed in the Vecoplan VAZ, Vecoplan VAZ 800, and Vecoplan VDS model ranges from Vecoplan.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of various materials and the variance in the cutting geometry, the cutting tool can be matched to the operational scenario in terms of throughput and lifetime.

The X-option of this component is made of tool steel. The variant has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-variants.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Spare parts of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife will be sold as a set of 2 parts.

The spare part is ideal for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 40mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, other configuration options can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please ensure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
