This counter knife is to be installed in the Weima WL and Weima WLK model series from Weima Maschinenbau GmbH.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the lifespan can be impacted by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the efficiency can be well adjusted to the break down application.

This X-version counter knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variation in most break down applications. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

In this option, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the counter knife wears homogenously over its lifetime.

However, this variant must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the components. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife is sold as a whole set, consisting of 2 parts.

This product is ideal for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 40mm. With regard to the various range of models, other configuration variations can be realised.

It is imperative that the counter knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

 

General characteristics:

The measures of the component are 793.5mm in length, 94.4mm in width and 35mm in height.

As this counter knife belongs to the Premium Line, the spare parts is exclusively made in German production.
