In the X-variation, this counter knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard option in most break down applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Cutting tools of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the cutting tools. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

Fastening in the machine:

The counter knife will be sold as a set of 2 parts.

The counter knife can be used for knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 40mm. Due to the wide range of shredder models, other configuration variations are possible.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
