The counter knife can be installed in the Vecoplan VAZ and Vecoplan VAZ 1600 models from the manufacturer Vecoplan.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

This item can be adapted to the application area, depending on the different materials and varying cutting shape.

The W-option is fabricated from alloy tool steel. In contrast to the X-variant, it has a shorter service life due to the 5 % lower hardness. However it is also less fragile in parallel. Knives of the W-variant are fitting for applications where the contact surface is no longer flat or there are impurities in the input material.

Products of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

This cutting tool is sold as a whole set, consisting of 2 parts.

The component is suitable for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 40mm and 43mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, other configuration variants can be realised.

When attaching the counter knife, please assure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an ideal contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
