The performance of this cutting tool depends predominantly on the variation of the material and cutting shape.

The W9-option wears faster than the X-variant, but also has increased toughness and is resistant to impurities. However, the hardness of the W9-version is lower than that of the X-version.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the service life of the counter knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of products of this variant, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

This counter knife can be combined with knives and cutting crowns with a length and width of 60mm. Due to the wide range of models, other configuration variants are possible.
